The package began under the name Navision
In Denmark, a local software player Navision grew into a European success. Their software package Navision Financials originally aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises. And it had some unique features. Because it was very innovative. And the year 2000 issues caused a major international breakthrough of the package.
In 1996, our company also became a vendor of Navision. And the software for installers we built ourselves earlier also switched to Navision.
However, the success of Navision did not escape Microsoft. After all, Navision was built on Microsoft technology. And it was in a market that Microsoft was not in at the time. Navision was originally an accounting package. But year after year, additional modules were added. And so it became a complete ERP package for SMEs and SMBs. To immediately put a big foot in the world of business software, Microsoft bought Navision in 2002. And so began the story of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and our Business Central Installer for installation companies.
